Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh begins her recital with a few interesting anecdotes about her personal history and how she came to be the chosen one, in a family of violinists, to play the Veena.
She then commences the music with a composition by Muthuswamy Dikshitar titled "Panchamatanga" in Ragam Malahari.
Jayanthi is accompanied by her long-standing partners Vidwan Jayachandra Rao on mridangam and Vidwan Trichy Krishnaswamy on ghatam.
