The two-year recidivism rate remained low and stable at 20 percent for the 2019 released cohort. It is the lowest in the last 30 years.

Prisons remained safe and secure with our low assault rate, stabilising at around 46 per 10,000 inmates since FY2019, compared to other correctional agencies.
