We have recently started to do things in a way that is faster, easier, more independent, more fun, and more in our best interest.

But the more we have stepped into that new approach, the more we have realized that there are still a few things in our way bringing us down that we need to get rid of.

Those things in our way could be actual relationships (in which we are compromising too much of ourselves away for). It could also be hesitating and over-thinking.

As a result, we are doing a lot of thinking and talking to ourselves and others about how we can kick these old things to the curb.

However, these thoughts and conversations are very frustrating, emotional, triggering, and possibly angering.

That is because we have been trying to get rid of these old habits for the past few months and we are upset that these old issues are STILL around.

It is also because other people (perhaps we are trying to end things with) might not be on the same page as us.

That is making us feel very exposed, raw, vulnerable, and on shaky ground. It may also make some of us want to hide or side step the main issue momentarily.

But even though we may want to hide, I think we have let these old things go on long enough and are finally fed up with them.

As a result, we may then start to put in stronger boundaries and structures with ourselves and others so that we don't continue these unhelpful relationships or unhelpful patterns and can draw a line in the sand.

We may then also start to do more things independently that are in our best interest, even if it comes out in a way that is raw and unrefined.

It may feel uncomfortable to do at first, but if we can stick with it (which I think many of us will), we will be in a much better place a few months from now, with more solid ground, a more clear path, and a quicker pace we can sustain.
