The alpine route up Mount Bells NE 5.3 Ridge was an incredible intro alpine route in Banff in the Canadian rockies! We did bring rope and trad gear along and decided not to use it. Everyone should do their own research and assess their own risk.

We did bushwhack about 100m after the second bridge just past Taylor Lake to the ridge and I think this will have saved us an hour of hiking time!
