The Research and Development Center for Geological Disaster Technology (BPPTKG) reported that hot clouds were sliding from Mount Merapi at 12.12 WIB. Mount Merapi erupted this afternoon, Saturday (11/3/2023), at 12.12 WIB. This eruption launched an avalanche hot cloud (APG). The Center for Investigation and Development of Geological Disaster Technology (BPPTKG) stated that the hot cloud that had fallen was heading towards the Bebeng/Krasak River. The public is advised to stay away from and not to do activities in the danger zone, a radius of 7 km from the peak of Mount Merapi in the Bebeng and Krasak river channels and 5 km in the Boyong river channel. In the southeastern sector it includes the Woro River for a maximum of 3 km and the Gendol River for 5 km. Meanwhile, the ejection of volcanic material in the event of an explosive eruption can reach a radius of 3 km from the summit. As for now, the wind is blowing to the west, northwest, to the north.
