🌍 About Bergamo 🌍
Bergamo is a city located in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It is situated in the foothills of the Alps and is divided into two parts: the lower city (Città Bassa) and the upper city (Città Alta).
The lower city is a bustling modern center with wide streets, shops, and restaurants, while the upper city is a beautifully preserved medieval town with narrow cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Bergamo is known for its rich cultural heritage, including its art museums, historic churches, and the impressive Venetian walls that surround the old town. It is also famous for its local cuisine, including dishes like casoncelli (stuffed pasta) and polenta e osei (a dessert made with marzipan and chocolate).
