We tested the operation of a digital radio system manufactured by Orbit, Inc. of the United States.
The system was launched in 1966, nearly 60 years ago, and was adopted by many advanced modelers as a complete system at that time.
It has been almost 30 years since we acquired the system, and we checked its operational status for the first time in a long time.
At the same time as checking the system, we also checked the electrical characteristics of the transmitter.
We directly observed the radio wave from the transmitter with a spectrum analyzer.
The high-frequency signals(70MHz BAND) were AM-detected and the control signals were displayed on the screen of the analyzer.
The four pulses of each control channel are arranged in an orderly fashion.
We could observe a change in the pulse width in proportion to the movement of the transmitter stic.
The transmitter was working fine.

米国オービット社製デジタルプロポシステムの動作テストを行いました。
６０年近く前の１９６６年に発売開始され、当時としては完成されたシステムとして上級モデラーが挙って採用しました。
当方が入手してから３０年近く経ており、久し振りに動作状況を確認致しました。
システムの確認と同時に、送信機の電気的特性の確認を行いました。
スペクトラムアナラザーで送信機からの電波を直接観察しました。
高周波信号(70MHz BAND)をＡＭ検波し、アナライザーの画面に制御信号を表示しました。
各制御チャンネルの４個のパルスが整然と並んでいます。
送信機のスティクの動きに比例してパルス幅の変化が観察出来ました。
送信機は立派に動作しておりました。
