Despite having only one selecteable legato articulation, Spitfire Audio's recent strings library "Soaring High Strings" includes two different sets of legato transitions: one normal "slurred" articulation and one faster "runs" transition that triggers automatically when fast passages are being played. In this video I wanted to take a look at how these runs compare to the playable runs from Spitfire's flagship strings library "Abbey Road Orchestra - 1st Violins".

Both libraries are using Mix 1 with the internal reverb turned off and no external processing (except for some rough volume matching by ear).

Keep in mind that SHS and ARO 1st Violins feature vastly different ensemble sizes (as SHS has 1st and 2nd Violins in unison).
