Fuga in A Minor - ©Laura JH Ball all rights reserved - is a tribute piece written specifically to honor one of the very earliest influences on Laura's musical career, her recorder teacher, Carole Rogentine. Without this magnificent woman, Laura might not have gained the courage to step out and the basis for theoretical knowledge that she currently possesses. For many years, Laura enjoyed taking lessons in the cozy living room of Carole's Bethesda, MD home, as well as performing recitals and concerts in the community. She developed an intense love and appreciation for early music because of this journey and uses that to inform aspects of her current compositional style.
