Come get lost with us on this exciting adventure, we journeyed to the heart of Dahlonega, Georgia, to visit two iconic locations: Babyland General Hospital and a Classic Pizza Hut! This trip was nothing short of nostalgic, offering a unique blend of quirky roadside attractions and delicious retro dining.

Our first stop was at the legendary Babyland General Hospital, the birthplace of the beloved Cabbage Patch Dolls. Nestled in the scenic town of Cleveland, Babyland is more than just a museum—it's a magical experience where the dolls are "born" from cabbages. We did not get to witness the fascinating "birthing" process, where a skilled LPN (Licensed Patch Nurse) delivers a Cabbage Patch Doll in a whimsical ceremony that's sure to captivate both kids and adults. The anticipation builds as you see the cabbage leaves part, revealing the newest addition to the Cabbage Patch family. Our excitement was palpable, as we relived childhood memories and marveled at the attention to detail in this charming and quirky attraction. Babyland is truly a must-see for anyone traveling through Georgia, offering a unique glimpse into the world of one of America’s most iconic toys.

After soaking in the nostalgia at Babyland, we headed over to a Classic Pizza Hut, one of the few remaining in its original design. For those unfamiliar, a Classic Pizza Hut is a throwback to the 1980s and 1990s, complete with the iconic red roof, wood-paneled walls, Tiffany-style lamps, and cozy booths that defined the dining experience of the era. Stepping inside was like stepping back in time. The ambiance was filled with retro charm, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a slice (or two!) of our favorite pizza. The food was everything we hoped for—delicious, comforting, and served with a side of nostalgia. It’s a rare find nowadays, and we were thrilled to experience it firsthand.
