Making my most technically complicated piece yet, an asymmetric curve-front corner table! This is part 1 of 2, where I construct the base of the table, including mortise-and-tenon joints, tapered legs, weird shapes and curly inlays. A lot of the time I spent on this went into just figuring out how to approach things, and I probably didn't always come up with the best solutions, but it became a sturdy table that looks like I envisioned it. Part 2 will show the construction of the drawer and secret compartment, gluing up and mounting the tabletop, and finishing. I'm no professional and I don't have anything to teach, this is just me, sharing my thoughts and my work. Join me as I'm learning fine woodworking!
