There hasn’t been an antagonist as charismatic and memorable as Vinland Saga's Askeladd in a while now. He’s bad. He’s quite mad. And it’s impossible to hate him. It’s not for nothing that people are calling him the best anime character of 2019 – and even one of the best of all time. I couldn’t agree more.
