The opposition bloc is wearing a white ribbon around their left arm today in protest against the decision made by Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul regarding the six parliamentary seats held by former Bersatu members of parliament.

Last week, opposition bloc chief whip Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said all Perikatan Nasional members of Parliament will wear white armbands during the Parliamentary sitting this week.

Before asking her question during the questions for oral answers session, Masjid Tanah MP Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin delivered a pantun explaining why they are doing so.
