VIDEO 15: The sanding begins!!!
I discuss how sanding different densities and hardness of wood is challenging. I show some of my sanding boards with handles that will assist in keeping the conic section straight. I explain how the conic section moves through space at different speeds on either end, while this 40 lb base spins on the lathe. It’s important to keep this in mind while sanding. NOTE: The cardinal wood is especially resistant to sanding and requires extra attention and patience.
