Hello :)

This is the requested transcription I did of The Doobie Brothers song "Listen to the Music" from their 1972 album "Toulouse Street". The bass player on this track was Tiran Porter.

This transcription can be found at https://www.muzento.com under Intermediate - Learning Songs subject.

Tune Down 10 Cents

This is a feel good song and I've always liked Tiran Porter's bass lines, so I was more than happy to do this one. I was a little surprised at how difficult it is to keep that rhythm so consistent like he does. It sounds like a nice easy going feel, but by the end of the song, my heart rate was definitely up! It takes some stamina to get through this one.

I was also surprised at the note length. Until I started playing along with it, I never realized how short the notes were in the chorus were before. I think it's important to play them short, otherwise it looses the "snap" and could start to drag...and we don't want that! :)

It's fun to play along with, I hope you enjoy it :)

Don't forget to like and subscribe and thanks for watching :)
