The property market is overheating.

There aren’t enough properties, and what’s left is too expensive.

At the behest of greedy landlords, potential tenants can expect to take part in bidding wars and receive demands for cash-up front and “auditions”.

All of this - while soaring energy prices and skyrocketing inflation seek to throttle the country’s workers.

Driven largely by soaring inflation, tenants could soon find themselves choosing between eating and paying the rent.

Nearly a third of Londoners are private renters, the majority of whom are set to be hit by a devastating combination of rent and bill rises in the coming months, with no sign rampant inflation slowing down.

If that wasn’t enough - In England, nearly a third of private rented homes fail to meet government standards.

Emma is one of tens of thousands of people left worse off by unscrupulous landlords. In her case, it was being evicted so that her landlord's friend could moved in to her house.

The result, being taken to court, paying her landlord's legal fees, and having to find a new home while dealing with the shame of eviction.
