Det drabbar den unga kvinnan, som får sin livsväv söndersliten.
Det drabbar barnet, som inte kan gå till skolan.
De hemlösa drabbas.
Hästar och hundar, som träffas av splitter, drabbas.
Skogen och skogens djur far illa.
Den unge soldaten, som ligger i den gyttjiga leran och längtar hem till sin familj, drabbas.
”Song for Ukraine” är en veklagan över krigets offer.
Krigets alla offer.

Hurting the old woman who will not get food or medicine.
Hurting the sick who will not recieve care.
Hurting the young woman who will have her life tissue torn apart.
Hurting the child who cannot go to school.

Horses and dogs hit by shrapnel suffer.
The trees and the animals of the forest suffer.
The young soldier lying in the cold mud longing for his family suffer. .
