In this video we are going to learn how to simplify a Force and Couple System in 2D

A couple is defined as two parallel forces having the same magnitude but opposite direction and separated by a perpendicular distance d.
Specifically in this video, we shall learn how to reduce a system of several forces and moments acting on the body into a simplified form by replacing it with an equivalent system which consists of a single resultant force and a resultant couple moment.
The equivalent force system produces the same external effect as that produced by the original force system and couple force system.

We shall solve three examples in this video.
