Puke-kohe means "hill of the kohekohe" in Māori. New Zealand's native mahogany.
Pukekohe is a town in the Franklin Region of the North Island of New Zealand. It is approx. 50 KMS south of Auckland City, between the southern shore of the Manukau Harbor and the mouth of the Waikato River.
