Like the Boeing Poseidon P-8 and KC-46 Pegasus, the Airbus A330 MRTT is a military aircraft based on a commercial aircraft platform. This widebody multi-role tanker transport (MRTT) has been in service since 2011 and now officially operates with the militaries of eight countries, as well as NATO’s “multinational MRTT fleet."
