One day in April, I was on a train in Tokyo. The train unexpectedly stopped for a long time, and we were told there was a "human accident" ahead. At the time, I didn't really understand what had happened, but the other passengers seemed used to it and stayed very calm. Later, a friend explained that someone had jumped in front of the train, which is sadly quite common in Japan. These incidents happen so often that they don't even make the news, especially in spring. I was pretty shocked to hear this. Spring, with everything coming back to life and sakura in full bloom, should be a time to celebrate life and new beginnings. But for some people, this season can be even more painful and harsh.

I still clearly remember that day on the train, waiting. Through the window, I could see sakura petals gently falling with the soft spring breeze. They were beautiful but fragile.
