Yo! Easy and nice project for you for the weekend. MDF will cost you only about £40 and glue about £7 and then the emulsion paint another £25. Oh plus £8 for wooden beading on the top. Still cheap.
It is really enjoyable job, with great visual results.

Celing - wimbourne white matt emulsion
Walls - drop cloth
Panel - treron
Woodwork - satinwood also wimbourne white
