This level turned out to be a difficult puzzle to figure out. There are a number of important things to pay attention to.

- The movement at the beginning with the spin at the bottom of the slope appears to save about 0.15.
- The big breakthrough for me was when I realized shark spins are equally spaced in time so I needed to start thinking about completing sections in a minimum number of spins, rather than getting spins to travel a maximum distance. The movement is much more normalized in this level than it initially appears so taking tight lines doesn't really matter if you're arriving at your destination within the same number of spins. Counting spins turned out to be extremely helpful.
- The vertical section from 0:23 to 0:33 seems to be the most important part to do right - variations elsewhere don't have as much of an impact on the final time.
- You want to get to the damage boost spot in 23 spins (from the start) and get deep into the corner so you get knocked into the wall instead of knocked backwards. Dashing right instead of down-right makes this MUCH more consistent. You can jump further off the mask platform and hit the pickle rick with the end of the 2nd spin and arrive here in 22 - this might be worth looking into.
- After the damage boost, you HAVE to get out of the water in 12 spins. It seems to be better to drift forward briefly in the current in order to ensure the 12th spin reaches the surface so you're dashing as you exit the water. Taking this section in 13 spins loses too much time.
- After passing the pickle rick at 0:44, this section may be the only one where it matters to optimize distance since you need to get the camera far enough forward to spawn the starfish in the lower cycle, who you have to wait for.
- I think the end can be done in 36 spins but 37 appears to be about par. It may be possible to optimize the end more by swimming forward in the strong current to stretch the last spin to reach the goal in the calm part before the end.

I'm not seeing where 1:11 is yet but I'm sure more decimals are available here. Interested to see what happens next.
