The Recumbent Retreat is an annual event held on the Oregon Coast the weekend after Labor Day in September. This was the 26th year for the retreat. The official dates are Thursday through Sunday, but every year more and more trikers arrive earlier. This video is from the Young's River Waterfall Ride, a favorite. It is a 43-mile loop ride with 1200 ft of climbing. Most of the Recumbent Retreat rides are on dedicated bike paths through Ft. Stevens State Park, but this one is mostly on roads. There were 12 riders for this fast ride on a gorgeous day.

This channel is about all things trikes and travel. I have been riding a recumbent trike since 2005 and have been touring since 2007 all over the world. I have toured on 6 continents, in over 20 countries and cycled more than 100,000 miles. In 2020, I shifted from solo trike touring to solo RV travel. After completing a cross-country solo trike ride, am I now switching back to looking for primo spots and trails to ride my trike.

On this channel, I have gear reviews, tips, and tutorials, but mainly, I produce short travelogue type videos of my tours and rides as I go. I travel with a DJI Action 3, Insta360 One X2, Skydio 2 drone, DJI Mini Pro 3 and an iphone. Thanks for subscribing and following along!

I also have an extensive journal on Blogger that goes into much more detail about each day's ride, including the emotional ups and downs. The blog has a link to Garmin stats and a map of every day's ride. There are also a ton of pictures. You can find it following this link:
