In this video I experience my first time watching Takbiran for Hari Raya Idul Fitri 2024! I start in Bali and make my way to Surabaya with my friend, Dika. I was so lucky that I was invited to spend Lebaran this yearh with him and his friend, and was invited to hunt down malam Takbiran. I really didn't know what to expect for this.

This was my first time being outside of Bali for Lebaran, and experiencing Hari Raya Idul Fitri with a local family in Sidoarjo, Surabaya was an absolute privilege. Once we arrive in Sidoarjo, Surabaya I meet with Bapak Dika and his family, and then we explore the streets of Sidoarjo to find the best spot to enjoy this night watching malam Takbiran!
