Mercedes-Benz is selling more trucks in Australia, and this growing popularity is being reflected in race track paddocks. There are now three Mercedes-Benz Actros prime movers powering race transporters in the Repco Supercars Championship paddock, and a whole lot more Actros-led haulers in the Fanatec GT World Challenge, too. Not only that, but one of Australia's leading speedway teams, Perth-based Monte Motorsport, has run a Mercedes-Benz Actros since the start of the 2017 season (2:46 in this video) having previously run an all-Australian Kenworth K200. With murmurs of more Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks joining top-level touring car racing soon, we're expecting to see plenty more in Australian motorsport over the coming years.
