My Ford 10.5" Sterling needed a locker... So I decided to retrofit a 2011+ super duty factory electric locker in to my older axle!

This is a factory electric locker swap from a junkyard axle or can be purchased as a Ford replacement part. I don't install a new ring and pinion here because I haven't bought them yet haha. be sure to check and adjust your gears after doing this swap!

For those of you wondering why not just swap the whole axle:

-Fewer gear ratios available for the 2011+ axles (only down to 4.88 vs 5.38s for the older axles)
-It's a metric lug pattern (8 on 170mm) for the newer vs the older (pre-1999) axles which are standard 8 on 6.5
-The ABS system for the older axle uses a tone ring on the carrier (same as my Dakota) while the newer axles use tone rings on the wheel hubs 👍

This locker fits in ALL of the previous Sterling 10.25/10.5" full float axles. Just takes some bolting, drilling, and some spare electrons!
