Man what an incredible night! It was such a treat to watch Amos Lee perform at the Florida Theater in Jacksonville. We’ve wanted to see him for a long time, but never had the opportunity. When his tickets went on sale a few months ago, I think we were the first in the digital line to buy tickets.

My sister was going to go with us but Was unable to make the trip down from Georgia, so we decided to take our girls with us to share the experience. Yes it was a school night, and we knew that we’d probably get home late, but honestly what would these girls remember 20 years from now? Going to bed on time, or spending an incredible night getting to watch and meet Amos Lee… It’s a no-brainer for us. Introducing these kids to a variety of incredible music is so important to us. We’re so excited that they’re at an age that they can appreciate concerts and experiences.

slimdan opened the concert. We were unfamiliar with him but very impressed with his laid-back performance. He was comfortable to watch and put on a great show. The song “God only knows” is a classic that plays in our home as well, so the girls were Excited to hear that and they are happy to report that it was their favorite song.

Amos Lee and his band Gave us a wonderful performance with the perfect mix of songs from all of his incredible albums. He even incorporated some Michael Jackson.

If you’ve never made it to his show, do yourself a favor and purchase tickets as soon as possible. Amos is a true artist that will be sure to "wow" you!
