This dubbing of the song was used both in the Canadian and European dubbings. As per Disney's policy in recent years with the French dubs, the songs seem to be the same for Europe and Canada, while speaking voices differ in the two versions. *The translation of the title sentence “faire le vœu” is quite problematic. The word “vœu” can mean either “wish”, specifically one you make when you see a shooting star, or on particular occasions, usually linked to traditions, or it can mean “vow, promise”.
In this sense, it’s unclear whether Asha is making a wish, hence passively hoping for things to change, or vowing to take active action to make things better. The double meaning of the sentence is probably intended.
French dubbings have a fluctuating quality when it comes to the dubbing work itself, but shit if their lyrics are always, unwavering on point.
