Here's a short story about a used Royale 400 I picked up a while ago. I'm calling it Royale #2. The interesting story to this rifle is that it was reportedly not shooting well. Groups would be tight one day and open up the next day. Initially, I found that to be true. But, the groups tightened up relatively quickly and the rifle began to show its true colors. It's a shooter! And, it's a looker too! I gotta say, I really scored a good one.
Of all the rifles I've owned, I would have to say the Royale in .22 is still my favorite rifle of all time. Better than the Impact, Crown, Wildcat, Streamline, Independence, Verminator, Bobcat, Revolution, .25 Royale, Boss, Edgun, Air Arms S-510.... you get the idea. I've owned all of those rifles and the good 'ol Royale is still my sweetheart. It's so nice to have another one that shoots so well!
