Ezh3 metro cars (intermediate EM-508T) were produced from 1973 to 1976. In the Moscow metro, they were operated with passengers until 2020. To date, three trains Ezh3 / Em508T have survived: a museum train, a New Year's train and a track measuring train. In the passenger service, Ezh3 cars remained in Kharkov (Ukraine).
The New Year's train with head cars 5701 and 5840 was launched in 2016. Its cabins are decorated with garlands and a wreath, and inside there are Christmas tree branches, colorful balls and also garlands. As long as some cars of the New Year train are 50 years old, the winter of 2023/2024 will more likely be the last for the train.
In this video we will ride inside the New Year train and will talk to metro fans, who came to see off this wondeful soviet legend.
