Video No. 22: As a part of preparation for our concert at Luzerne Music Center’s Faculty Artist Series, this week my video includes collaboration on Savio’s arrangement of Manuel de Falla’s “La Vida Breve”.

Fellow pianists are Dr. Lauren Reed and Dr. Emiko Edwards.

Recording was taken in our third rehearsal of the piece.

Originally written in 1904, “La Vida Breve” is an opera in two parts. This specific piece is a popular dance and the most popular music selection from the opera, often arranged for different instrumentation.
