Punkrii Barwadih megalithic site is located near Hazaribagh in northeast India. It is one of the oldest sites of its kind in India dating to an estimated 3500 years ago, used by the tribal people of that time to observe the equinoxes and solstices aligning stones to hills and notches on the horizon. It includes cup-marks, a holed-stone and other unusual carvings, yet, like dozens of other sites in the area, is under threat from modern development. It has been investigated by Subhashis Das for over two decades and in this video he is joined by Hugh Newman to explore the site in detail. Includes exclusive 3D scans of some of the monoliths and carvings. More about Subhashis Das here:   / subdas.hzb  .
