Ward Lake is located a half-mile behind the Grand Mesa Visitors Center. Campsites are first-come, first-served.

Cell service in the area is weak with Verizon being slightly better than AT&T, which had no service at times.
Ward Lake Campground is open from mid-June to the end of September.
