Morawala Beach - Negombo, Sri Lanka

Morawala (Shark Pit) Beach is located in a village called Pitipana in Negombo which is about 7kms south from the famous Negombo Beach.
This is a unique beach because of its distinctive rock formations that mitigate the waves.

As you enter, you'll see a sign board from the locals which reads that the place should be protected.

This is known for its views for sunset. The beach is not too crowded and mornings and the evenings are the best times to visit.

You will have to park your vehicle by the side of the road. It's a compact area but the neighbors are friendly.  

This beach is ideal for a walk and to take amazing pictures especially at sunset.

Morawala Beach coast is free for all.
