Today, our song BLUE HEARTS with @unodc_west_centralafrica is out ! I wrote the song "Blue Hearts" with the victims of the horrors of trafficking in mind wanting to amplify the plights of the voiceless and particularly children of this cause. I'm very honoured to take part in the United Nations' Blue Heart Campaign, an important initiative raising global awareness in the fight against human trafficking.

As stated by the United Nations « The Blue Heart is increasingly recognized as the international symbol against human trafficking, representing the sadness of those who are trafficked while reminding us of the cold-heartedness of those who buy and sell fellow human beings. The campaign allows people to show their solidarity with the victims of human trafficking ». Being part Senegalese, I felt it was important to incorporate Wolof in "Blue Hearts" as I hope that my song will not only bring further awareness to this important cause, but also motivate others to join the campaign to stop the horrors of trafficking and help those affected. With "Blue Hearts" I hope to inspire others to show solidarity with the people and societies affected and to incite change to combat this issue.

Aujourd'hui, notre chanson BLUE HEARTS que j'ai signée pour les Nations unies (UNODC) est maintenant disponible. Je l'ai écrite pour donner ma voix aux victimes de la traite des êtres humains ( ) et plus particulièrement pour les enfants qui en sont victimes. Je suis honorée que les Nations Unies m'aient demandé de mener ce combat à leurs côtés dans le cadre de leur campagne "Coeur Bleu", une initiative qui vise à mobiliser l'opinion pour lutter contre la traite des êtres humains et ses conséquences sur la société. Le Coeur Bleu symbolise le désespoir des victimes de la traite et nous rappelle la cruauté de ceux qui achètent et vendent d'autres êtres humains.
