I wanted to go camping on the cheap and I can't smell. Those two, separate statements propelled me into my latest, very strange, congenital anosmic adventure.

To go camping for half price, I needed to get an Access Pass. The Access Pass is a free, lifetime pass for people with a permanent sensory impairment, allowing them free and reduced admission to over 2,000 Federal recreation sites including National Parks, National Wildlife Refuges, and many National Forest lands.

That one simple desire led me down the LONG path of attempting to get an official congenital anosmic diagnosis from a qualified physician. Sound easy? Ha! Join me on my anosmic journey to get diagnosed and claim the coveted Access Pass.

Why can't I smell? Am I a congenital anosmic? Is there something else going on in my head? Will the Colorado Bureau of Land Management accept the diagnosis? So many questions!
