On this leg of our Alaska adventure we go to the realm of the rare Spectacled Eider, which of course was our main Target Bird there. (Got it!)
Other target birds, seen more or less well, were Snowy Owl, Steller's Eider, King Eider, Red Phalarope, Pectoral Sandpiper and Sabine's Gull.
We were also, secretly, hoping (and fearing) to see a Polar Bear, but that didn't happen... to us. A group of birders got to see one, though, which stings a little to this day.
