Japanese Traditional Craft Banshu Soroban
Having an over 400-year long history, this abacus which is called “The Banshu Soroban,” has additionally been designated
a traditional national craft by Minister of Economy. For a long time it has been said that abacus is one of the heavily unrecognized tools to support the Japanese economy, and over hundreds of years it has been a given in Japan that everyone can “read, write, and calculate simply.” This is used as an educational tool for brain development and improvement in concentration. The level of education and a literacy rate in Japan has been quite high since Edo period, and abacus education is getting a lot of attention in the world even now. We are creating the Banshu Soroban as tools that invigorate the minds of anyone, from young children to senior citizens, and that make children succeed in society.

Colorful Banshu Soroban & the Soroban Village
This is a colorful and lovely abacus that looks completely different from the traditional one.
This can be your alternative choice for school work or home bookkeeping.
You can choose your colors for the frame and the beads to create your own My Abacus at the Soroban Village.
