Commercial auto insurance is still seeing rate increases as well as its share of issues that affect employers. With many companies having a hard time finding good drivers to operate larger commercial vehicles, many have tried to assist new employees with this skill.

As of February 8, 2022, a new rule took effect that applies to those seeking to obtain their Commercial Driver License (CDL). Those who obtained their Commercial Learning Permit (CLP) after the effective date must use a training provider listed in the national registry. A business can choose to send their entry-level drivers out to a registered provider, or they can go through the steps to meet the requirements themselves.
