Market days in Guatemala are very colorful. Here we start with street food in a suburb of Antigua, then move to the outdoor market near the center of town. The variety and abundance of the tropical fruits are breathtaking. Antigua also has a huge indoor market, but it was so dark and claustrophobic that I took almost no pictures. I just wanted to find a way out of the maze. The fruits and vegetables in the market are not only very cheap, but outstandingly delicious having been vine ripened, and picked just hours earlier.
