CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — People will celebrate with Fourth of July festivities across the country this week, but some activities may bring negative consequences.

The Gun Violence Archive shows there have been more mass shootings on the Fourth of July than any other day of the year.

Gun violence prevention advocates said this may be due to large crowds and many people drinking alcohol.
