The process of making a knife sharpener begins with choosing the material for the body and the sharpening wheel. Typically, durable plastic or metal is used for the body, and a diamond or ceramic base is used for the grinding wheel.
Then the sharpener mechanism itself is manufactured. This includes creating a handle, an axis of rotation.
When all the parts are ready, they are assembled together, allowing the grinding wheel to rotate freely when the handle is twisted. Thus, by placing the knife on the sharpening wheel and turning the handle, you can sharpen the knife blade.
