Recently, there have been a series of deadly leopard attacks in Udaipur's Gogunda region. Over a span of two days, three individuals were killed in separate incidents within a 5 km radius. These attacks occurred in the dense forest areas near Pipliya Ubeshwar, a popular local spot. The victims included a 16-year-old girl, a 50-year-old man, and a 40-year-old woman, causing widespread fear among villagers.
The authorities have initiated a search operation to capture the leopard, involving both forest officials and an Army team, who are using drones and other tracking tools. Cages have also been set up in the forested areas, but the leopard remains elusive. The frequency of the attacks and the proximity to populated areas have raised concerns about human-wildlife conflict in the region.
