Bare Island is the famous spot where Tom Cruise did his stunts in Mission Impossible 2. It's a bit of a drive from Sydney Central station, about 17km, but totally worth it. The island is connected to the mainland by a wooden bridge, which makes you feel like you're entering a secret base. I also checked out the La Perouse Museum, which has some interesting exhibits on the history and culture of the area. It was a great way to spend the beginnng of 2024.
