The idol of Govind Dev Ji was made by Lord Krishna's great grandson Vajranabh after two other idols of lord Krishna, Madanmohan ji and Gopinath ji.

Govind Dev Ji temple was constructed by Jaipur's that time Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh (second). This temple has its name in Guniess World Record for two reasons.

What makes Govind Dev ji temple different from other traditional temples is that it is without peak (shikhar). Style and architecture of the temple is similar to City Palace of Jaipur.
