This year, in an effort to make the shoe giveaway more meaningful for Sageland ES students, they were asked to “earn” the shoes by doing something kind, respectful, or generous for staff and/or faculty. Students were provided with signature cards – each time a student committed a good deed, a faculty or staff member signed the card. Once students had six signatures, they earned their new pair of shoes from the Braden Aboud foundation.
