Today, we hear the incredible story of Dr. Harold Felder, who went from being a proud atheist to a passionate defender of the Christian faith.

While serving in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Felder lived a life that rejected God, openly dismissing Christianity. But in 1998, his life changed forever when he came to faith in Christ. "I wanted to ensure that what I was experiencing was not merely emotional but had rooted evidence to stand on," Dr. Felder shared, highlighting the importance of having a rational foundation for faith.

Dr. Felder's journey led him to Southern Evangelical Seminary, where he studied under Dr. Norm Geisler. His search for truth ignited a lifelong mission to defend the Christian faith through his ministry, Giving an Answer. Today, his testimony and work continue to inspire others to seek and stand firm on God’s truth, even in a world that often distorts it.

As we reflect on Dr. Felder’s journey, let us be encouraged by 1 Peter 3:15, “Always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.” God equips us to defend the faith while sharing His truth in love.
