St. Sylvester's College Kandy has been a dominant force in the sport of boxing in Sri Lanka. Having claimed wins at the Stubbs Shield, T.B. Jayah Boxing Tournament, National Boxing Tournaments, and the L V Jayaweera Memorial Boxing Championship St. Sylvester's College looks to produce more talent for Sri Lanka.

Boxing Coach of St. Sylvester's College Kandy and Hemamali Girls' College Jamitha Bandara spoke KOsandSubmissions Senitha Senanayake regarding the legacy of St. Sylvester's College boxing and the importance of school-level boxing.

He also highlighted the contribution of BASL President Dian Gomes and Vice President Withanage Wasantha Kumara.
