Surinamese food is tasty as hell and very easy to find in Amsterdam. But you'll be hard pressed to find a Surinamese restaurant. There's plenty of Surinamese-Chinese, -Javanese or -Indian places though. So what's going on? In this story I tell you everything about the culinary history of Surinamese food and it's legacy of slavery and forced labour.
Thanks to @ky.kale and @thebraidest for featuring in the show!
